Here’s the latest news about Zillow deciding to stop buying homes.

Thanks for joining me on the first of many video blogs to come! Today I wanted to talk about Zillow and their recent decision. A lot of state-side people have been worrying about Zillow buying real estate, but recently, they have gone back to simply helping you see what the market is like.

They were using their Zestimates to buy and resell properties. It didn’t work because these Zestimates are a little bit off of the actual market price, and I should mention that their maps, at least in the U.S. Virgin Islands, are terrible.

What does this mean for you now that Zillow is not buying homes? You should always use a Realtor if you want an accurate valuation of your home. If not me, then use one of our other board-certified Realtors out here. Whether you’re buying or selling, it’s going to be one of the biggest transactions in your life, so you want to have the best possible information to support you.

If you have any questions about Zillow or real estate in the U.S. Virgin Islands, call, text, or email me. I’d love to hear from you.

In the meantime, I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you this Thanksgiving. I have met some truly wonderful people, and I’m proud to have helped so many reach their real estate goals over the years. From the Virgin Islands to the States, Happy Thanksgiving!   🦃🦃
